This album showcases Carucci and Davis' signature style blending harmonies, bending melodies, and delivering lyrics that make the dirt from life feel good on your hands. Their debut album features their backing band: Wilson Montouri on lead guitar, Dean Marchi on bass, Frank Picarazzi on drums, and Jon Cobert on keys.
Where does Four26 Come from?
It had been nearly two years since Peter asked Becki to be the female vocalist in his band. In those two years, their lives took them in different directions and left each of them with a few broken pieces of their own. Through her heartbreak over her band's decision to slow down just as she was ready to gear up, Becki found a reminder of Peter's invitation and knew it was a sign to reach out. The timing was perfect. Peter was changing focus and finally had time to really get back to his music. He was just about to post a want ad for a female singer when her email came in.
They set a date to meet up: April 26, 2017.
Everything flowed naturally and ever since The Four26 has learned that broken pieces aren't always bad - they can actually reveal the real thing.
One of the most in-demand acts in the greater NY area
Since joining forces in 2017, Peter & Becki have played over four-hundred shows together. In 2022 alone, they played an even one-hundred gigs, keeping them entertaining audiences every three days or so. This included opening for the Spin Doctors at the Bedford Music Festival; returning to Windham Mountain, NY for Music on the Mountain; headlining the August Katonah Museum of Art Summer Social to a sold-out crowd; and debuting their original music for their upcoming album at the iconic Bitter End. As staples of the local live music scene, they were featured in the Music Issue of Katonah Connect Magazine and wrote and recorded a jingle for that same issue. In addition, they launched their Share Your Story songwriting program with Veterans; wrote and recorded several custom songs, including one for a NYC-based non-profit; and continued to push the envelope with creative corporate team building opportunities and Member Jam experiences.
They released their debut album, Broken Pieces, in on June 1st, 2023. Joined by their backing band and recorded by Tracy Walton at On Deck Sound Studio, Broken Pieces expertly blends the deep pocket grooves of roots-rock, the powerful lyrics of folk, and a drop of the blues.
This New York-based Americana duo, and their backing musicians, come with some serious creative cred. They met at a benefit concert led by legendary band leader, Paul Shaffer where they were playing with their respective bands. Before that Peter was a pioneering member of the 90's folk rock scene and opened regionally for acts like Jonathan Edwards (Sunshine Go Away Today) and Dave Matthews. His career in music continued, as he toured and released two albums with his internationally successful band, Chasing Sunday, in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Peter has performed around the globe and shared stages and studios with members of The Rolling Stones (Bobby Keys, Chuck Leavell), The Allman Brothers Band, The Grateful Dead (Bob Weir, Jeff Chimenti, Jay Lane), as well as musical legends: Sammy Hagar, Santana, Steve Winwood, Bernie Williams, the Heartbreakers, Lew Soloff, and many others.
Becki is a member of the Nashville-based songwriting community, Songtown, and in July 2020, she released her first EP of original music, Intune, which conveys her fierce belief in the power of personal transformation. Her song "Shift" received airplay in the greater New York City area, and her song "Highest Ground" was recognized with an Honorable Mention in the Folk/Acoustic category of the Indie International Songwriting Network contest in 2021.
Pulling from their own experience, The Four26 honors the highs and lows of life with powerful harmonies, soulful guitar licks, deep pocket grooves, and authentic lyrics that allow the broken pieces of life to “reveal the real thing.”
